Lunch in the small coastal fishing town of Cojimar east of Havana at Cafe Ajiaco. Traditional Cuban food Yuca, arroz Blanco, Ropa Vieja y frijoles negros and some sword fish. Saw the Castillo de Cojimar and pavilion with the bust statue statue of Earnest Hemingway. Hemingway docked his boat El Pilar here and loved this little town. Not only did he use the town as a base for fishing, Cojimar was the background for one of his most famous works, The Old Man and the Sea. The ‘old man’ in the title is reputedly his guide Gregorio Fuentes, a Cojimar local. #Cuba #Cojimar
